Justin M. Chopin

Attorney

Award-Winning New Orleans Personal Injury Lawyer

Justin M. Chopin is the Owner and Managing Partner of The Chopin Law Firm LLC, where he leads a team focused on representing individuals and businesses across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas in high-stakes injury, insurance, and litigation matters.

A native New Orleanian, Justin has built his practice around helping clients navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives. His experience spans personal injury litigation, insurance disputes, workers’ compensation claims, maritime injury cases, business litigation, and complex property damage matters throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Before founding and growing The Chopin Law Firm into a multi-state practice, Justin gained valuable experience working at both highly regarded regional firms and one of the nation’s largest defense firms. That background provides him with a unique perspective into how insurance companies and corporate defendants evaluate and defend claims, insight he now uses to advocate aggressively on behalf of plaintiffs and injured clients.

Justin is recognized for his litigation experience, trial preparation, and leadership within the legal community. He has been selected to Louisiana Super Lawyers from 2020 through 2026 after previously being named a Rising Star from 2012 through 2019. He has also been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs, was named to the New Orleans City, Business Power List for Personal Injury Attorneys in 2023, and is a two-time recipient of the New Orleans City, Business Leadership in Law award (2012 and 2023).

In addition to his litigation practice, Justin has remained actively involved in legal education and professional service throughout his career. He has served on Loyola University New Orleans College of Law’s Skills Faculty, lectured on litigation strategy and ethics, and held leadership roles within the Louisiana State Bar Association, including service in the House of Delegates.

Justin earned his Juris Doctor and Certificate in International Law from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. He is licensed to practice in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Through The Chopin Law Firm, Justin continues to focus on building a client-centered practice dedicated to results, responsiveness, and strategic advocacy for individuals and families throughout the Gulf South.
