Chopin Law Firm Represents Client Injured in The Standard Elevator Accident
On the afternoon of July 28th, 2017, a construction elevator at The Standard condominium construction site in New Orleans plummeted several stories to the ground. Although it is not known at this time exactly how many people were in the elevator at the time of the accident, five injuries were reported. The authorities also did not give specifics regarding the severity of the injuries of the five parties. An emergency responder did tell newsgroups that one person was in “guarded condition” and four others were “stable.”
An investigation into the incident is apparently being conducted by the building’s superintendent. The exact cause of the elevator accident is not known. It may be linked to sudden equipment failure, a lack of safety inspections and maintenance, or any other cause of industrial accidents.
