The Chopin Law Firm LLC Files Suit After Health Care Facility Attempts to Conceal Sexual Assault
Recently, Attorneys Justin M. Chopin and Richard A. Chopin have filed a lawsuit against a long-term nursing facility in New Orleans, Louisiana, after a resident of the facility was allegedly sexually assaulted by an employee.
About the Incident
Our client, who was a patient of the New Orleans health care facility, CPlace Unity SNF, LLC, doing business as “Unity Nursing & Rehab Center”, was raped by another male employee of the facility. After the incident was reported, the facility failed to act appropriately. Instead, the facility took no action to report the incident to the police, to the patient’s family, or The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. Even more egregious, the facility refused to get any medical attention for this gentlemen. Instead, the facility quietly terminated the unnamed employee and attempted to conceal the incident.
Due to these wrongful acts, our client now suffered mental and physical injuries. Currently, our team of New Orleans personal injury lawyers is seeking damages on behalf of our client for the facility’s intentional conduct to conceal this heinous crime.
